Elder and Sister Jonson have finished their mission and we are sad to see them go home. They have made a marvelous contribution to the people in Uganda. Elder Jonson was the medical adviser for the mission and Sister Jonson taught music to many students and acquired keyboards for students in the country.
We took some of the new couples to Ndera to see some of the traditional dancing from the area. The drum on his head is a hollowed out log. It makes a nice sound and yes, it is very heavy and the balance them on their heads. Pretty impressive.

Very talented young people from the university
We met a young woman, Maria Kisakye, who was preparing to go on a mission. She filled out her papers
and sent them in. She received her mission call to the Ghana, Accra Mission. Maria's mother died when she was a little girl and she grew up with her father and four brothers. She lost her two front teeth when she was about 7 years old. She also had cavities and serious gum disease. Two dentists came from the US and worked at Drew Cahoon's clinic with the missionaries and the missionaries with calls. They took care of the gum disease and prepared her for a partial plate with front teeth.
